/blend

Blend two images in Midjourney

Quick ask…

Could you do me a favor and forward this email to someone, anyone, in your inbox and just say, “hey, I think you’d like this.” Thank you 🙏

Hey friends!

I haven’t done a code-centric Daily Build for a few days because I’ve been exploring some new tools. But don’t worry because I’ll get to more soon. Also, reminder that if you upgrade you’ll get deeper dive builds and more.

Okay, so…

Today we are using the /blend command in Midjourney. This is very cool and I had no idea it existed. Shoutout to my buddy Matt York for telling me about it. He’s using it to create a new logo for one of his projects.

Here’s how to use it:

  • Go to Midjourney.com

  • Generate an image with /imagine command

  • Generate another image with /imagine command

  • Use the /blend command and attach each of those images

The result will mash up those two images in a delightful way.

My first image

I host a poker night and needed an image for my poker night Spotify Playlist cover, so I generated the image below.

My second image

I have no idea what I was doing when I created this image but I pulled it from my library because it looked cool.

Let’s mash these up

So then I used the /blend command and attached the two images above. What you see below are the results from the output…

Oh my god, I love these

Honestly, I thought it would give me some really cheesy bad mashup but these are really good. Like, I want to play poker in the crazy dungeon lair. I think I need to get a cave for the next poker night…

Give the /blend command in Midjourney a try and let me know what you make.

Know someone who loves poker? Loves dungeons? Loves mashups?
