Happy Friday, friends! 🎉
Boy oh boy, I just discovered a new open source AI tool…
Context: One of my obsessions has been a YouTube channel called Nobody and the Computer - it’s dedicated to making music with AI. (Please go check him out and support him because he’s great.)
The tool is called Suno and they have two products:
Chirp - for generating songs with lyrics from a prompt
Bark - for generating speech from a prompt (will use this in a future edition of Daily Build)
With Chirp, you can generate entire songs with lyrics from a prompt - all it needs is the following:
Genre (classic rock, hip hop, country, etc)
Provide the lyrics
Voila!
What I made today using Suno
To generate some lyrics, I used an app I recently built called Make a Haiku. My app spit out a haiku when I prompted it with “coffee in the morning.”
I then plopped that haiku into the Discord channel and set the genre to lo-fi house.

Then I prompted variations of the following: “Hello my name is Joshua Voydik, I love making AI music, thanks for listening to me, Happy Friday, go be free.”

Pretty wild, right? The genre outputs weren’t quite there yet - but they’re only going to get better.
The world of AI music is insanely fascinating. I think tools like these will become powerful as we all start to become content creators. It’s all coming together…
